The Herringbone Houses modern home design are two houses of 400m2 with a landscaping job, located in a lush looking site on the South London Bowls Club to the promoter Lyford Investments. This is beautiful and perfect house architecture design. Each modern house design consists of two continuous flat herringbone wood and stucco surfaces that make up Graphite walls, floors, exterior decks and fences. The houses of 5 bedrooms on 3 floors are complete with underground storage facilities for guests and a game piece. The hall is a double height atrium at the center of the house with a suspended sculptural oak staircase in the middle of this space. First-floor bedrooms are accessed through a gallery and library with a balcony offering views of the public level. All house rooms have windows on both sides to allow natural ventilation of the space and maximize natural light and views. Next to this volume are three-storey north facing south, containing the bedrooms and living rooms.
The house is structured based on metal structure and wooden window frames, surrounded by a wooden plaque, which acts as an anchor of insulation and cladding. After several tests with different dimensions was decided to use a thin plate (50mm) 800mm long, functional dimension to the construction and fit with the structure of the house.
